Source-first publishing
Truth in Focus prefers original records and primary documents when they are available. Each archive entry should identify what the document is, who issued it, when it was issued, where it came from and any known limitations.
Records are evidence, not automatic proof
A filing, letter, complaint, social-media statement or official notice can establish that a claim was made. It does not automatically establish that every claim inside the document is true.
Corrections and replacement records
If a more complete record changes the context of an earlier entry, the archive should preserve the earlier record when appropriate and clearly note the update, correction or superseding document.
