This is the change log for the public Truth in Focus Record Room. We distinguish changes already published from planned work, and we do not claim that a document has been verified merely because it is listed.
October 31, 2026 — New learning and search tools
- Published: Frequently Asked Questions, including search tips, explanations of constitutions and codes, and a reminder that unreviewed files remain private.
- Published: Constitution and Annotated Code Reader, an expandable navigation guide linking to original Northern Cheyenne and Montana legal sources. This is a first-stage index, not a completed annotated code.
- Verified source information: Montana Legislature lists its official 2025 MCA and indicates an August 2026 website update; annotations and change tables are available separately.
- Confirmed: Articles and Videos were already established, along with multiple plain-language legal guides.
Previously available
- Browse Records and original-document links.
- Northern Cheyenne Constitution and Bylaws guide.
- Northern Cheyenne Law and Order Code guide.
- Northern Cheyenne Government and Law — Start Here.
- Proposed Bills (older URL retained so existing links do not break).
- DOI and government records — Review Underway. Unreviewed materials have not been released.
Open work — not yet completed
- Improve navigation so FAQ, code reader, updates and roadmap are easy to find from the homepage and menu.
- Extend site search with better discovery of individual code sections, terms, document numbers and metadata.
- Create more short educational articles and review each against primary sources.
- Check each proposed bill against the current Montana Code, session laws and applicable effective-date tables.
- Create fully reviewed section-by-section annotations, starting with a small pilot rather than publishing an unchecked AI-generated code.
- Review any DOI, council or disputed records individually before publication, with provenance, permissions, context and source limitations.
How to request a correction
If a source link is broken, an explanation is incomplete, or a record needs correction, send the document citation and supporting source through the Truth in Focus submission page. We will date material corrections and keep important changes identifiable.
See the Record Room Roadmap for planned phases, and use the FAQ to search.
